The "worth up to" price reflects the manufacturer's recommended retail price or typical high street retail price.

Seen that website the otherday along with flookle.co.uk but 1 bid is 8p and if no one else is bidding on the item then you will not meet the reserve so all in all the website is quids in, another example of the saying "if it looks to good to be true it probably is"

other thing is that you have to buy bids
example 20 bids £10 big rip off if you ask me but thanks for leting us know about it m8

Lol, always a catch.

Maybe worth it if you see something without a reserve that you think may not sell for much due to the site not getting many visitors.

Could be worth risking a daft tenner on bids or so.

Ah just had a look, yeah I say this the other day, the auctions were counting down to zero with low bids then carry on with 20 minutes left etc.

Seems a strange way to do auctions.

Ah I see now, everytime someone places a bid it adds 20 seoncds on. So in theory it will cost you an absolute fortune to bid then you pay the final price also.

It's a bit like a fruit machine, you may win and get a good price once in a while, but in reality you have put a fortune in to get anything out.

Also what is stopping them using bots to bid it all up if there really are not many people on the site?

the sites a rip off, good profit for the company mind, they always win and it always will cost more for people apart from the lucky winner.

e.g

Apple MacBook MB062 2.16 GHz White

was on at RRP £829 ... but you get it free when you win ... that's 100% saving.
The bidding took it to £523.11 ... which the winner didn't have to pay (they just have to pay the delivery of £9.80).

Telebid got 523.11/0.07*50p = £3736.50
Whooaaa!!

They don't even have to stock the thing ... they can order it from play.com at £819.99 and you pay for delivery.
They made £2916.51profit on that one item ... and didn't even have to handle it or store it or even be nice to you.

the end of the day people want a good deal and might get addicted and keep paying for chances to bid, i would avoid on all accounts, the odds on you winning are very very low even if your there infront of the pc or using bidbutler when your away.

Load of arse by the sounds but cheers fot the heads up.

it sounds like them dodgy auctions they used to have on blackpool front years ago with knocked off gear where you paid a tenner for a piece of crap but because you bought that crap you could carry on to bid on the good stuff which alot of time the auction closed because police were on the way and you never even got to see the good stuff if it existed in the 1st place lol

say you buy the £10 package and it works out you get the right to bid 20x, now the bids cost 50p a time but each bid only puts the price of the auction up by 7p so you only get £1.40p worth of money to play with and if your bidding on, lets say a lcd tv £1.40 towards a bid like that is nothing, you got no chance but in some peoples head it makes them still think the auction has to end soon so just keeps topping up there bid package, given the company more money.
