damn connection keeps dropping

hey guys, my modem keeps dropping its connection whenever i try and do something useful with it lol. i can browse the net fine, but soon as i try and use torrents or newsgroups the connection dies out and i need to reboot. wtf is up with that?

ive tried reflashing it with the 250 stealth dump, changing macs, disabling bpi, changing nic mac

im sure ive seen ppl have this problem before? wtf is causing it?

Modems have been going off for about 2 weeks now. For me, normal browsing is okay but as soon as I start p2p/torrents off the modem goes off and I have to change the MAC. It has been been better lately though perhaps lasting a couple of days before having to change the MAC.

just read that post mate, if this keeps up i think i wil be getting a surfboard, although i jus updated my drivers and its running smoooooooooooooth, usually drops after 10secs of connecting to giganews, downloading fine now. will see how long it lasts and keep DW up to date.... these issues might be something a simple driver update might fix, who knows!
