Yeah that would be a problem.

Why dont you do a search on you system for a folder or file name with winexplorer in it.

only other thing to do is reinstall and make a note of the directory.

Thanks I managed to re-install it, i am sure unlocking used to be easy.. lol

I used to have a script that once i ran it, it spat out the ird and bk within winex.. does such a script now exist?

Also sorry for all the questions but if the script is running and all i get is ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! . Is this a bad thing??

For BOD cards run the "rom 11 unlocker" script after flashing your nexus.

I use swithches 2,5 and 6 and normally the card unlocks in about 2 mins when the script is running there should be a mixture of --- and +++ symbols.

Also make sure you have installed script control and set compatability to win 98.

There is a fair bit of fiddling involved and you will have to read the card in nagra after it has been unlocked to get ird+bk

Possibly that'd be the funcard (if written with xv2/nce) script or the read atmega xpl file, they both spat out the IRD and BK, IIRC.

Had A86 rom 10 unlocker running for 2 days now and still not unlocking card...

Whats the longest it's ever taken anyone to unlock one of these??

or do you think the card might be knackered?? :(

As one of my friends rom 11 card read this in Nagra:-

Opening of COM1 was successful
ATR String: 3F FF 95 00 FF 91 81 71 A0 47 00 44 4E 41 53 50

Backdoor retrieval has been blocked
Attempting to login to BD3
Attempting to login to BD0
Unable to login, bad password detected
Login attempt aborted
Reading ROM11 failed
Closing of COM1 was successful

It's asking for a Specify bckdoor 0 login password.

Do you think it needs unlooping? I have not got a clue what the password could be...

thanks in advance

The card isn't knackered, cos there's only two outcomes. 1. The card unlocks or 2. The script just stops, hangs or whatever you'd call it, on an RST.

It depends on the unlocker how long it'd take, v3 ubomb minutes, t911 dunno and nexus almost never.

thanks edds.. its a orange nexus.. so your saying it could take weeks.. lol

When the a86 first appeared, there were test scripts out, ISTR we were asked to load a certain image at a16 with bugcatchers at zero and then at 20 or similar; put it in stream and it'd update to a86, then try the script.
Basically we were attempting to unlock this image twice, but with bugs set differently. I hope this makes sense?
I ran it on my orange nexus and it unlocked it, but this was a one off. Reports were coming in, later, of some success with a ubomb and since then also T911s, too. But tbh, I'd say unlocking with an orange nexus on an a86 are slim to none, unless a pot mod is done and don't ask me what's required cos I don't know, lol.
