Hi just added Gemini 3.40 in downloads it,s for DM500 use this thread for any feedback***

Attention!
This MaxVar Image is only running in flash (it has been only tested that way). Please do only use DreamUp and don´t forget the flash erase. Do not use other tools like FW or DCC.

We'd like to thank everybody who paricipated in
the "Gemini suggestion" thread. Unfortunatly many
things can not be realized from our side.
This images doesn't contain any keys or softcams.
Backups or other modified Images are not from us
and won't be supported!

Recommendation:
If you don't install the Image in flash memory,
the flash image shouldn't be of a old version. A
swap file/partition (>= 16MB) should be present
if several processes running in background.

I'm about to flash my box with this image, what files do I need to put back in from my old image apart from services and bouquets and by bouquets I mean all the files named userbouquet right?

I deliberately didn't put in services and bouquets as some people have problems removing them.

Everything tested and is working ok. Either do a scan or copy over services and bouquets. See here on how to reload the channels.

some upnp feedback

firstly... NICE ONE! glad to see an image for the dreambox with UPnP... WMP11 seen it and started sharing my library with it straight away. bargain!

got a suggestion thou (with the upnp server side of things)....

instead of it jus pointing to a directory on the dreambox and listing media files, could you make it list the services/bouquets available on the box? (like WMP lists the music, video, pictures, etc).

one last suggestion (if you can do the above).... if we was to select one of the listed services, could you make the dreambox change to that channel and then stream out the pes/ts (basically, exactly the same as the web interface does with the zap and vlc parts)?

i know its probably a lot to ask, but i think it would be kick arse to link up my dreambox to any upnp media center!

Problems with updating

Hi...

Just got my dreambox this morning...flashed this image to it...

Took ages to clear picture...now wont clear at all...

Do I have to do anything (change drivers etc like dbox Ucodes)

If so where in menu...I hope the dreambox has a new tuner..if so do I need a new image as I seen images for old tuner and new tuner!

Try changing the emu BLUE button > Edit Auto cam and change the pull down menu to another emu. Select green to start/restart emu and select reboot from the shutdown menu.

@All, you should be able to flash this backup anyway you want. It has already be flashed with dreamup and the /var partition has been created so any method should be ok.

Sometimes if you flash a maxvar image and it doesn't go as you've expected, flash the original image first then the gemini image and it should come up ok this time.

@solster, not got time just now but I'll try and have a look for a timer/zapit thingy, I'm sure it's already on the image as Gemini are good programmer but I'll see what I can find.
