HELP!!!! Quick help if anyone with mobile phone experience can help with?

Sansung galaxy 6, screen smashed cant get into the phone. its knackered and even the metal casing is bent.

No backup via google, cant access via find my mobile on samsung site etc etc
tried 3rd party software but it aint rooted so wont work.

I need to recover photos from phone for a family member

If i bust this thing open the 32gb internal memory what is it?? an ordinary sd card that I can take out and place in a sd card reader to get the photos or is that no go?

any other suggestions

Thanks @manic01 Pal but doesnt work on an s6 just S5 and below.

A quick search shows that the 32Gb part is a KLUBG4G1BD, it's a FBGA with 0.5mm pitch. I thought it might have been an eMMC part at first (Embedded MultiMediaCard, I soldered wires to one of these at work once to try a sample...) but it seems that it is something called Universal Flash Storage from Samsung semiconductors which are intended for tablets and phones.

A similar situation is explained here and it is mentioned that the part is protected and/or encrypted.

Think he's fooked as he hasnt got usb debugging enabled and I cant access it on the phone. if there is a software that does that on the pc then that may help

Have you tried taking it to a mobile phone repair shop?. You state that the screen is smashed but the question really is has the phones memory/storage gone?. It's a long shot but definitely worth a try.

Its knackered @miggy Pal. Ive been on it all day. The pc knows something is there via usb as there is power there but thats it. Screen smashed, digitiser smashed back casing smashed and the metal case is actually bent,
He dropped it from a nightclub balcony down on to the dance floor below and it looks like a herd of elephants danced all over it for an hour or two lol. I was having a look at it before the insurance company want it and he gets a new one.

Did he have any samsung sorftware on his pc.
He might of backed some of his phone on pc.
If it was me shaun i would buy a cracked screen of bay.
You could poss have the chance
Of pressing on button and down ie to back up phone.

No software on pc, no backups to the cloud, no nothing @nistleboy.

For maybe 20.00 on bay shaun and buy a broken lcd that still has touch.
Its def worth the gamble even if you could get usb mode on m8.
You could always sell it working lcd.
