On a different thread I revealed I was having problems with clearing one of the Sinema TV channels on 5 east. This was due to an error by myself in entering incorrect b*ss keys.
Then, up until yesterday, the two channels involved were clearing nicely. This morning, however, both channels have become unwatchable with distorted pictures and severe audio break-up.
Elsewhere, Zorch and others have been discussing how the patch makers may be on the right road to enabling certain receivers to be able to decode ACM/VCM transmissions. Is it possible that these channels have moved away from the widely used CCM format to one of these others and might it be the start of something that will become more common in the future?
I could, of course, be completely barking up the wrong tree.
