Received my new VU+SOLO SE today and have been playing with it for a few hours.I paid £173.00 for the box and £11.00 shipping via DHL from Germany.
As you can see i opted for a white box that comes with a standard vu+ white remote the same one we are all used too.
It ships with the usual HDMI lead the remote control and a PSU and leads and an external infra-red sensor with a cable about a meter long allow users to hide the box away behind the TV or somewhere out of site and still allowing users to control the box.
Its really quite small and very light its the smallest satellite box i have ever owned, you can see how small it is in comparison to a standard sky box...
You have the choice of what plug and play tuner you want (DVB-S2, DVB-C/T, DVB-C/T/T2) and i have noticed some UK sellers charging extra for boxes shipped with DVB-C/T, DVB-C/T/T2
There is not much i can say about it at the moment as im only running vu+ factory image that allows you to do nothing.!!
One massive good point is the speed..it is way faster than the solo 2 and reboots literately in the blink of an eye..
I have noticed the box gets quite hot and having no fan i guess this is normal as the heat sink will be doing the work and there is no changes in the box operation still fast and still working fine..
So to finish off its main points are its speed the size of the box and the plug and play tuner options and its ability to be hidden away.
Flashing is simple..box off put USB in back..turn on box and light indicates dim when flashing..when complete the box light flashes bright.turn off box remove USB and power on and off you go.

How does it compare to the solo2? Been thinking about getting one as getting abit tired of messing around with the clone to keep it working?

Everything about it is totally different to the solo2 mate...There is only one comparison and that's the speed...its fast..
its a single tuner,no display,alot smaller,no internal hard drive,no cooling fan.
