Hi guys,

wrestling with my old'skool tm600 trying to stream to XBMC. I think the issue is that the stream from my box isn't on a regular 8081 port, but I cant determine which port it is using.

I click on the Web-X-TV link after browsing to the box IP and I can stream fine and dandy. But if I look at the ZAP stream settings its states VLC "VLC Webif Port 8080" and "VLC Streaming Port 9091" but it cant be those ports because I telnet to them and they aren't listening. The only port that is listening (which is kinda obvious) is port 80 as I can web browse to the box.

Can anyone help me get to the bottom of this please?

Thaaaaaanks!!

Right guys Im making progress (all be it on my own)...

Ive scanned the box to tell me which ports are open using nmap and I get the following result

PORT STATE SERVICE VERSION

21/tcp open ftp?

|_ftp-bounce: no banner

23/tcp open telnet?

80/tcp open http Dreambox DVB Enigma httpd

12405/tcp open unknown

16000/tcp open cccam CCcam DVR card sharing system information

16001/tcp open tcpwrapped

31335/tcp open http Dreambox streaming audio httpd

31338/tcp open http Dreambox streaming audio httpd

31339/tcp open unknown

31340/tcp open unknown

31342/tcp open unknown

31343/tcp open http Dreambox streaming audio httpd

39000/tcp open unknown

Any of these look familiar with regards to streaming? Obviously it says audio streaming - does this mean the video and audio are streamed on separate ports?

Thanks

When vlc plays, it normally shows IP:port:service reference.

Im sure port is 8081 by default.

Thanks for the reply, it uses the VLC addin so its streaming within the web browser. Just tried streaming and then doing another port scan and the same ports are open so it must be using a none standard (one of the above) ports I guess :)
