Ever wondered how some sights show you certain adds and banners which you might be interested??, well thats because certain software that has been downloaded to your p.c (either with, or mostly without your conscent) tells the add campaigners where you have been on the net and what you have been doing???, sometimes even your personal details can be accessed by these people and for me that's not good enough, it's bad enough your partner telling others what your up to, but your own P.C!!!, is nothing sacred!!!, well here's something to help out "AD-AWARE" was developed by lavasoft to examine your system for known spyware files and programs, this identifies the files/folders to you and gives you the option to get rid of them from your system, Right "newbies", u can download it from the "downloads" section at the bottom of the main screen in the "digital Files" section you have to enter name and password to enter this section now, at the prompt type "Digital" for username with a cappital "D" and "World" with a cappital "W" for password, find the file "ad-ware56.zip.zip" and download, once downloaded a few people have had problems oppening these zip files saying that zip utils dont recognise them, this can be adjusted by re-naming the file (right-click mouse on file and go down to rename) so that it reads "AD-WARE56.ZIP", notice only one ".ZIP" file extension, same for any other zip files that may have ".ZIP[1] etc, once renamed to ".ZIP" your zip utils will recognise them. Follow instructions from text document as to the crack and then run it on your system... enjoy and safe surfing... regards Billy

Anything that seems too helpful remembering passwords etc is suspect...Gator, the companion software that comes with Getright 4.5 is a bit dodgy I think.

Gator is dodgy M8. After reading a bit about spyware, i decided to download Ad-Aware a spyware detection program. Found 15 such files when i run it <img src="mad.gif" border="0"> . tried ad aware from gejave many months ago, still got the odd one on, then had to manually delete on each occasion,

then got spy blocker, i think speccy linked me to it being the grand chappy he is, brilliant link ,

i then put it on my comp , no such spyware since , touch wood, ie phil "PINOCHIO thompsons lfc, one, lol,

soz, micky had to fit that one in
