Recording + Pausing on a eurovox 1100usb

so just got my box working yesterday, but would just like some advice on the recording part regarding a USB stick/external hard drive.

how much data is used to record and to pause? can i watch it back on tv or is it just to computer, and do i need to get any specific hard drive? or just any external 1 from ebay? and what size do you recommend?

i use a 4gig usb and it does fine 4 me can rec bout 2 movies on it and you can watch it back on your tv just go to rec manager. to pause it enable timeshift in the menu got to say tho when you use this it makes the channel change a lot less responsive
