Old Technomate to Openbox V8s

Finally retired my old faithful TM 6900 non super. Bought one of these new fangled Openbox V8s from Ebay, with a "12 month gift" Works very well, even managed to sort out EPG niggles (some). Have put Hotbird, Astra 1 and Hellesat etc on.

On the TM it was easy to put in Softcam key codes and Biss codes. I found a softcam key and added it to the SoftCam.key (which was blank). Nothing clearing on any added sats.

Am I missing something simple? How can I add a biss key in to a particular channel, and how can I open that which can be opened on the other sats.

Can someone please help before OldTimers Disease finally gets me.

You took a backwards step with that stb


As far as I know biss doesn't work or most softcam.

i have a v8, same as the f series boxs. good thing is the extra usb at the front so its easier to upgrade that the f5.
i agree with manic01, never managed to add biss keys in.

don't have that model but biss keys are usually added via a .cw file
