ok guys does anyone know the differance between mx android box and m8 android box
do either of them support CEC ie you can controll the box via tv remote

The mx is a dual core amalogic based box, the m8 is a quad core amalogic box.
Cec is being developed within the software but depends on the manufacturer. Most boxes on sale are generic boards in a different casing.
If it was me I'd go for either a quad core rockchip 3188 or the new quad core rockchip 3288
