MBC on 7 west

Hi all.
I was looking at the MBC channels on Nile sat today and noticed a banner at the bottom of the screen which I would imagine is retune information.
I did try to retune to the relevant frequency's with no luck.
Am I about to lose all the MBC channels I have been picking solid good signal on a 1.2 metre dish I will be fitted to lose them as they have some great films on there.

Not sure but they are all open on 26e ok
I am getting good signal sw uk with 110cm dish.

Yes I am getting good signal they all have a banner at the bottom saying some Arabic and frequency's the only thing I can think of is the are moveing

Can confirm that there is a banner on the MBC channels on 7e, showing 11470 27500 6/5 and 11559 27500 6/5, tried both with V & H no lock on both.
110 dish motor Kidderminster, Worcs.

Signal on 11470 is weak bcz its on the neighboring satellite EUTELSAT 8W not on NILESAT and its directed to ME region.
11559 is directed to NW Africa region,it could reach south Europe but not the UK.

The info you have supplied is incorrect re fec ect see here for correct data:-

FlySat Nilesat 102/201 - Eutelsat 7 West A - Eutelsat 8 West C @ 7° West
FlySat Eutelsat 8 West A @ 8° West

You would need a dish the size of jodrell bank to get signals from those transponders in Kidderminster lol

Correction to my post #6 , been playing with the dish this evening, found that is was not at it's peak, can get 11559H 27500 have got a few TEST CHANNELS, (NO AUDIO/VIDEO) on the said transponder plus other channels which are clearing, signal 57/58%.

I see you have mentioned that you are receiving these channel on 7 east ? when these MBC channels are in fact on the Middle East beam @ 8 west on those frequecies,
FlySat Eutelsat 8 West A @ 8° West

So to repeat your test I have gone to 7 east & at 11472 H 30000 we have DigiTurk FlySat Eutelsat 7A @ 7° East the other transponder you mentioned does not exist here,

You may be able to get MBC @ 7.3 west on Eutelsat 7 West A on 12322V 27500 I am receiving these transmissions here with a 90cm dish,

Newbie alert:

I have also noticed the banner on the 7w MBC channels; the likelihood is that they are moving transponders on 7w but not on 26e.

I am surprised that MBC & other channels on Nilesat 102 @ 7 west are still active as they are duplicated on the other satellites @ this location maybe this is what is moving ?

Nilesat 102 was launched on 17.08.2000 with a lifespan of 15 years so may retire soon or when EUTELSAT 8 West B, the high-capacity spacecraft will be launched in 2015 to 8° West, joining satellites already operated at the adjacent 7° West position by Eutelsat and the Egyptian satellite company, Nilesat.

Nilesat 102 does not operate on that frequency more than likely Nilesat 201 so no signals here in the UK due to the tight footprint.

You can receive the CBC channels on 11469h or 11488h ( tuner software bug?), never paid them much attention tbh, MBC are being shown on Flysat as 11555v on E7WA but on the NWA beam as pointed out above & 11470v on E8WA steerable beam which is just over the ME.

It is a bit confusing I must admit.

Sorry My fault i should have said the ME-NA beam although Flysat has these channels listed higher up the frequency range i definitely have these on the 11470 H 27500 as listed on the MBC channels, So more than likely an error by Flysat

I think seeing CBC channels on 11470h @ 7.3w could be a 2nd harmonic or sw/hw lnb/tuner glitch - I've got 11470h & 11488h both showing the CBC channels on a D15 on a 1.1/BU in the NW with 11488 0.5dB higher @ 7.5dB but when you check the D15's loop through with a Rover it only sees 11488h & shows 11470h as dead here & on a TM5402 Mk2 on a Channel Master 1.2/BU it doesn't see 11470v either but shows 11488v.
Harmonics are another nuisance.

edit -changed 11470 & 11488 to H - not v - it's the MBC channels that are on 11470 V lol

I'm getting cbc ok on 11488 H 27500 cant get signal on other tp.
