Is the wii still the best platform for bowling boxing tennis etc

Hi was thinking of getting a wii for the kids for Christmas, is it still the best platform out there for activity games (as I call it) as I know nothing about the latest and best currently on the market.

You can get them dirt cheap these days m8, and wii sports is a great game for Christmas fun.
It's worth paying £20 to £30 just to play that every now and again, it would cost that for a family to go to the cinema these days.
