I need help with my ps2

I have neo2 installed and all works fine but i need to know where to put the capasator and what value it is.

Cap is a 1uF 63v(voltage not important) electrolytic , + to pin 2 on 508/509 (put inline with wire), cap is supposed to 'smooth' laser?? but you will still have to adjust it..
