First-class UK stamp to rise by 15p in October

Maybe someone should tell the person who decides to keep increasing the price of stamps each time they see that fewer people are posting letters and cards, that the reason that fewer people are posting letters and cards is because they keep increasing the price of the stamps.

I think that the rot started when they started charging for standard and oversized letters and cards, regardless of the weight being less than the maximum weight for standard sized letters and cards.

If they reduced the costs of posting then more people would post stuff.

Royal mail privatised greedy shareholders want to get as much money as possible postie being told they can do more by a computer and managers are agreeing with it would love to see them out doing it they would fail joke rant over

To be fair, letter post is reducing all the time as we send things digitally for free and instantly. 5 years ago my business would have sent 150 letters a month if not more, now its 1 a month if that. We are a small business think about utility companies that have 100,000s / 1,000,000s of customers that used to send a bill everymonth by post and now just email them.

Volume has gone down so for the same service price has to go up.

That being said parcel force with all the online deliveries must be doing well!
