HiHello, I wonder is there a possibility to get Radio Code for old Phillips radio/cassette player installed on 1997 Rover car? These codes should be available through code generator with radio serial number?
check your serial number again, in particular the last few numbersPhilips serial number I am seeking help with is: RG59 4FX1 0911 09
sorry, your code is not available from that serialI managed to get to the radio pictures for further reference earlier then I expected.
Radio Type R770 Model 22DC594/60B
Part number XQD101260
FD 04 99 18 1091109
Serial number RG594FX1091109
Other numbers found on radio are:
9022 215 94601
091458
3111 115 3175.1
sorry, your code is not available from that serial
with small change to last numbers it gives code 1380 or 4211 but if these don't work then its dealership or paid service website or a local radio decoding service
(As I said before, since I still cannot Edit previous post, I am forced to make another one)
I will report back, when we manage to try to see if given codes work, but allow us some time as there as priorities within restoration work which needs to be done, and getting clock/display to work is not high on priority list. Since 22dc594 radio does not have display, we need clock/display working to be sure that we entered correct digits.
In my eyes feedback is important for future reference and other members to get valuable information.
you can only edit posts within a limited time
if your serial is definitely correct then the 2 codes I gave will not work, I gave them because changing 1 number gives those codes. as serial is generally stamped on the casing of the radio they sometimes become very faint and a 8 could look like a 3 etc.
Thank you for clearing this up for me, because serial number is clearly visible, without any mistake and 7 last digits are repeated through few other numbers like FD and special barcode on separate sticker, as is the rule on all 22dc594 radios I have opportunity to see. From your answer above and some radings on calculators I understood that you changed some numbers in order to get radio code (like 0 to add one or similar, which was the case with some Rover stuff).
Since I know 22dc594 can be calculated from serial, that means this particular serial is problem, or this might be the case for all Rover ones or something else is in question? I am interested. If this question cannot be answerd in public, I would be gratefull for PM?
Ok, so you want to tell me that all the programs (calculators) within this section actually only reads dump files from radio chips and not making any algorithm calculation by serial numbers? I am asking this as I did not understood this way, but I am learning.
Thank you for all this info provided. Actually all mentioned is my strong point, but I never got into decoding as I needed it very few times, so not found interest in going further into this. Time is the most important factor in all of this, from my point of view, and time is the reason I did not venture these paths. Some other interests took most of my time.
