the gypsy backup image will work just fine if you follow these basic steps:

press green button > download bouquets > select region
press green button > download tv guide
(there are also shortcut keys for these functions in blue button)

once these two steps are done, you will have latest 28.2e bouquets for you region and 1days epg.

press ok button twice, then press info button and then select multi epg menu item

you will now see the epg screen you want, here is tomorrows epg to show you it is working for next 24hr!
you will need to wait 30mins or so for the now/next epg to catch up and start populating from the stream when you only press the ok button.

I flashed my dm500 and a friends as this had autobouquets.
When I started watching it, the box would reboot every 2-3 mins.

I used dreamup 1.3.3.2.

Am I supposed to follow a process?

When I first installed it I had issues. Was told to use dreamup. "Erase flash" first and then flash.

Has been fine since.

Yes, to flash you need null cable.
There is option of network flash but, I recommend you get a null cable.

anybody knows who sells null modem cable i have come across rs232 but i would think its not the same

Reboot is in the crond jobs. It should not reboot continuously for two hours though. @LraiZer can confirm for us.

How do you disable the rebooting at 3am issue , can it just be turned of in crond jobs , its not my box so I cant try it myself

Just to let you know that the Autobouquest in Commando 15C is more advanced than even the one for Enigma2.

yes a friend of mine has same problem can this be sorted without a reflash
