Broadband help?

I have recently brought a PC for the kids and i am looking to get broadband.

I only have NTL telephone in my house, no broadband connections etc.

I am looking for an broadband provider but do not want to go with NTL.

Any advice to help me?

You will have to get a BT line installed to get any other ISP

i got told by a guy from NTL that AOL Can run you broadband through a cable line dunno if its true

why don't you want NTL? just curious, but you will need a BT line for others.

just get NTL

saves you on money ... ie no bt line rental etc

NTL would be your easiest option and taking everything into consideration probably the cheapest option too.

Hi m8 NTL is worth a look ask for a cable modem which they will install anywhere in your house i'm on 4mb at the mo with a network of 3 pc's, very stable. In the past i used PIPEX via my BT line but as soon as they upgraded me to 2mb my BT line could'nt handle there excuse was they were in the process of upgrading the lines as all i could get was dialup speed. Give BT a ring to see what speeds your line can take. At the end of the day it all depends how far you live from your local BT exchange the closer the better. Good luck.
