Batteries - What can I do with them

Not sure if anyone has any ideas but I started a new job end of last year and I noticed last week we purchase LED emergency drivers with built in batteries but we remove the PCB Driver and scrap the batteries and use different ones (brand new never used and I hate waste).

Could I do anything with these? Im thinking Sell on Ebay but we do cut the wires and use the connector block but im sure I could buy the connector block in if I could find a use for the complete battery.

The batteries are:
6 cell
Ni-Cd 9.6V 3000mAh(min)
Ni-Cd 9.6V 2500mAh(min)

I do like recycling or reusing stuff thats not broken and re usable.

We just throw them in to the WEE waste at moment mate, don't think they would be willing to pay anyone else to take them away. I would prefer to recycle or find an alternative use for them.
