At last Coventry city FC are back where they belong playing home games at the Ricoh Arena.
Its been nearly 3 years since i have been to a Coventry home game and i was part of the mad scramble to get tickets for the first game back at the Ricoh Arena verses Gillingham fc that sold out within 36 hours..There may be a few more tickets available after season ticket holders have had thier allocations.
My mate managed to get 2 tickets online and gave then to me as a present and i was over the moon as i had spent 24 hours solid trying to get tickets but the website kept crashing and nobody was taking calls at the ticket office..
So in a nutshell really looking forward to going to the game its going to be a great atmospheric night and praying that my PTSD don't prevent me getting into the ground as it has done in the past..
I know its not a big game to many but as as a life long fan and being born in Coventry i just had to be at this game...
Sky also changed their scheduling to show this game..

Enjoy it mate.

Nothing like attending the games is there ? Far too many plastic stay at home and wear the shirt walking around Tesco Fans around if you ask me.

Yeah nothing like the real thing enjoy been back at home.

No 65" 4k led tv with 3d specs on will ever replace the live version. I've been a season ticket holder of my club for 25 years and rarely miss a home game. I use to travel alot away the cost and greedy away grounds put paid to that.

A lot are just genuine fans that simply cannot afford to buy a ticket due to mortgages, family and putting food on the table ect. Sorry to sound a little negative @Ferret but that is life. :)

Maybe so but its the same for us all, few games a year does not dig into the bank balance half as much as some of the satellite/IPTV kit been bought to view matches illegally on. JUST SAYING :proud:

I wish I could watch the game live every week but as I live in Devon and support Leeds that is going to be tricky. I do try and support the local team when I can and make the pilgrimage to Elland Road as often as I can. I understand what you are saying though.

It's all a load of ballcocks, you support who you support,if you can afford to go to a game then that's great, doesn't make you any less of a fan if you never go imho,

and yes I have been to old trafford a few times, many moons ago now though :)

There are fans and supporters.

Both very different :proud:

As a rule in England most football fans follow their local side, correct me if I am wrong. Most people in Ireland, I won't call them supporters wouldn't give their local side the time of day. It would sicken yeah to see them go around in their United and Liverpool shirts.

So the question now is, you state that you only go to a few games not all of them, so are you a fan? or a supporter because real die hard fans go to every match?? :)
