Could someone advise as to where I could upload it.

does anyone know if the internal gps works with n95?

and where is the link?

thanks

Well I've installed the above and got hold of the maps from another thread. It's copied a garmin folder onto my memory card but there doesn't appear to be any sisx installation file anywhere. Any hints please?

Try looking in this directory to find it.

\Garmin\Apps\Symbian\res

cheers for the info and links now to install. i will leave that til tomorrow it will be more fun with a hang over lol. just one question does it need to be signed???

I don't have those folders. Just Firmware, Help, and Voice. I will try and find another version...

Thank you very much. That worked perfectly. Looks like quite a good program, definately fine as a backup to Tomtom. I will give it a go on the way to work tomorrow. I'm not convinced the built in GPS is going to be much good in the car though. I've turned assisted GPS off as I dont want any data charges at the end of the month.

Tested this out today on N95. I have tomtom installed and haven't really had a problem with it apart from the length of time my external gps takes to find a satellite! for this reason i decided to give the garmin a chance. Really impressed with the speed it connects at and it doesn't have to be tilted too much to pick up signal in car. I feel the menus and controls are easy to use and it contains plenty of useful features. the navigation on map is pretty good. it zooms into map in built up areas or areas with lots of turns etc, then zooms out for wider view when on motorway or long straight road. gonna stick with it for a bit and give it a good testing. away to install speed camera software now.

heres the speed cams if you want them.

got the files, can't seem to get anywhere with the mapfinder software i was told to download to upload files to phone! just looks like a map editor to me! gonna have a root around and see what i can do!

got it! download this file h**p://www8.garmin.com/software/POILoaderforWindows_242.exe

use it to upload the files cam files to your phone. just connect phone through usb, select mass storage and follow instructions. WOOHOO!!!

Can you do a postcode search using the Garmin software..unable to using route66 so dont want to try the change if it doesnt have that functionality.

@herbs cheers for te quick reply will give it a quick go tonight..thnx

Thanx for the above all.
Got it to work on my N95, havnt tested speed cams as of yet but seemed to load up first time.
Garmins seems to be the best tomtom for N95 using Internal GPS.
