download the file from the download section of that link remember where you saved it

then open your webbrowser to the ip of the box click on tools in web panel and go to yinstaller point that to the file you saved and click instal

file downloaded is not a tar file, that the yinstaller page is looking for.

take a look over there, thats where i got my version from (in tar file format) and it installed successfully. The only problem is that according to the install checker my version of the web server is out of date (2.2.3 instead of 2.2.4), im missing fbshot, dboxshot and automount.
From what im managed to piece together from my limited german is that i need to update the nhttpd to get the higer webserver.
The interface is a little different but as far as trasnstation goes its not really different from all the other versions ive used so im lead to believe that they wernt translated at all.

EDIT:: without the new webserver it seems that im unable to view the EPG or live view

There is an updated nhttpd file in the /bin directory
telnet into the dbox and
killall nhttpd
then delete the existing /bin/nhttpd and ftp the new one over chmod 755 the file and reboot the box.

If you used the installer then check /var/bin for nhttpd as well if it's there then delete it as it just wastes 380+kb of space.

I tried a manual install, using Commando 3. I removed the unused web interfaces.
killed the existing nhttpd, uploaded the needed files. Everything seemed to work but I couldn't bring up the channels in Bouquets.
Ah well, back to the old version!

If anyone wants to upload say commando 3/4 with the updated nhttpd or even a corrected .tar install package the points to the correct directories I would be very grateful!

Although tbh i am having fun with this

The epg is working fine here but the
OSD Screenshot
and
Remote and OSD
in the Boxcontrol are both crossed through.

I got mine from the cvs though not the website.
I can post the files but I can't really see them being any different than the ones that come from http://www.yjogol.de/yDownloads.htm as he is the author.
