Hi people,just a warning about updating your clone box, I accidently pressed the upgrade button whilst looking for addons on my dm800 clone, I thought i'd got away unscathed as box worked ok ,however the next time I rebooted the box front screen read 2nd failed and flashing light.
I had a similar event earlier this year and managed to get support from good members of this forum and did get my box up and running again by using a mixture of flashup and optiflasher to get an ip address on my box to then install an image..this time I used the same programmes and found that the ip address was again possible and the image and bootloader could be sent to the box but this time the box was powered down and on power up the same screen is once again there..2nd failed and flashing light..box seems to have been totally disabled by official firmware is my guess.
I bought a skybox f5s, original, does a fair job but not a patch on my dm800se, picture quality is poor in comparison, number of channels is limted for multi sat use but it is easy to update and does a job, probably be thinking about an original dm800 se next year maybe , so be careful about what buttons you press when looking for addons on your clone dm's...
