Version 1.4 Update @ 20/02/2013
Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad with Evasi0n
Evasi0n 1.4 can jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 on iPhone 5, 4S, 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 5G, 3G, iPad mini/4/3/2. Apple didn’t patch the evasi0n jailbreak in iOS 6.1.2 and Evad3rs were quick to release an updated evasi0n 1.4 to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2. This is a fully untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.2. In this guide you’ll learn how to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 on iPhone 5, 4S, iPad, iPod Touch and all other iOS 6.1.2 firmware supported devices.
Version 1.3 Update @ 12/02/2013
The evad3rs has released evasi0n 1.3 jailbreak which supports the latest iOS 6.1.1 firmware released for iPhone 4S. Apple pushed the iOS 6.1.1 update for iPhone 4S only, to fix the 3G connectivity issues.
Version 1.2 Update @ 09/02/2013
Those of you who had not been experiencing any major problems while jailbreaking or after jailbreaking should not re-jailbreak their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch using evasion 1.2 as it does not bring major changes. But those of you who had been facing errors or are going to jailbreak their iOS device for the first time should download evasion 1.2 from the download links and jailbreak their device.
Evasion 1.2 disables over-the-air update, which can be quite useful if you do not want to lose your untethered jailbreak. Also, if you had some errors regarding timezone then you should download evasion 1.2
The update that is now filtering through to Cydia and showing up as an update on devices carries a version number of 0.3-1. The main focus of the update is the bundled functionality to disable the over-the-air update daemons that annoyingly force users to be prompted of any available firmware updates. The installation of version 0.3-1 will mean that the Settings app will not make us aware of the availability of iOS 6.1.1, when it goes live at a point later on. Secondly, it fixes the automatic date and time issue on all devices which have been jailbroken using Evasi0n.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 1.1 Update @ 06/02/2013
- prevent Weather app from appearing on iPads.
- mitigated the long reboot issue.
- fix issue with not working after connecting multiple iOS devices
- fix blinking of the jailbreak instructions on OS X.
- codesigned Mac app.
UPDATE: Although it has been confirmed by @MuscleNerd that evasi0n would support Apple TV 2, it seems that it doesn’t. Based on earlier news from evad3rs team, we believed their jailbreak was compatible with Apple TV 2 when publishing the post just a few minutes after evasi0n went live. We are very sorry for causing confusion. We now have to wait for Seas0nPass to be updated with iOS 6.x support for Apple TV 2. We believe it won’t take long.

Evasi0n, the iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak is now available for download. Evad3rs has released evasi0n to jailbreak iOS 6.1-iOS 6 untethered on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. You can download evasi0n for Windows, Mac & Linux below.
Evasion jailbreak supports iOS 6.1, iOS 6.0.2, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6 firmwares.
Evasi0n is an untethered jailbreak. There’s no need to connect to computer to boot the device. An untethered jailbroken device boots normally without any problem.
Your iPhone, iPad or iPod must be running iOS 6.0 through 6.1 in order to use Evasi0n jailbreak on it. You may check iOS version in Settings > General > About => Version. Clean restore is recommended.
Here’s how to Update to iOS 6.1.
Backup your personal data via iTunes or iCloud before using evasi0n to jailbreak your device. Read:
How to prepare for iOS 6.1 jailbreak;
Disable lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n. It can cause issues.
Don’t start iTunes or Xcode during the jailbreak process. The best thing to do is to not touch your computer until the jailbreak process is completed.
SUPPORTED DEVICES:
iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS
iPhone Touch 5G, iPod Touch 4G
iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini
How to Jailbreak using Evasi0n
Step 1: Download evasi0n for Windows via our downloads page, and extract the zip file.
Step 2: Right click on the evasi0n.exe file and select Run as administrator. If a user access control windows pops up, choose yes.
Step 3: If your device has a passcode enabled, unlock it and navigate to Settings > General > Passcode Lock > and choose Turn Passcode Off.
Step 4: Plug in your iDevice to your PC. This can be any device running iOS 6.x, except, of course, for Apple TV devices.
Step 5: You will see a message on the evasi0n tool indicating that it has detected your device. Once your iOS 6 device is detected, the Jailbreak button will be enabled.
Step 6: To begin the jailbreak process, click the Jailbreak button.
Step 7: Many automatic steps will now be performed, including preparing jailbreak data, rebooting the device, uploading Cydia, injecting jailbreak data, and uploading the Cydia packages list. This may take a while, so hold your horses and be patient.
Step 8: After the steps listed in step 7 have completed, you will now see a screen asking you unlock your device. Unlock your device, and you will see a new app icon on your Home screen named “Jailbreak”. Tap this Jailbreak app icon one time, and the screen should go black and then return to the Home screen. Be sure to tap the app icon only ONCE.
Step 9: You will continue to see messages such as injecting jb data, and Root Filesystem successfully remounted on the evasi0n tool. Be patient.
Step 10: After the process is completed, you will see a “Done!” message on the evasi0n tool. Your iOS device will now reboot. Again, be patient for this portion, as the first boot need to perform a one time setup. Also, be aware that your iDevice may restart a few times. This is normal.
Step 11: Your device will now show a solid white background with a large Evasi0n logo. You will see the evasi0n logo appear twice, once briefly, and again for a bit longer. Once everything is completed, you’ll be taken back to the device’s Lock screen, signifying that the jailbreak procedure has been finished.
Congrats, your iOS device is now jailbroken on iOS 6 using evasi0n for Windows!
Notes: Remember to re enable your pass-code if you removed the pass-code as suggested in Step 3.
