OLED Full colour Picons

Hey guys here is a pic of one of the OLED picons on DM800-SE

Hi Mate.

Having FINALY sorted my Sunray 800SE with all the latest boot loaders and installed Dream-Elite-2-1-dm800se-Sim2#84a.riyad66.nfi so I now have a working stable box. However can you shed some light on how you got the OLED to work with the picons?

I did download an add-on but this was working as if it had another set of picons – it would either be different to that being displayed on the TV screen or just the dream symbol if it did not have it in its list of picons.

I did read somewhere on this forum a posting (from one of the clever blokes) that there was a way which I could FTP to the box something with DCC over writing something to get it going but can I find it again, can I heck! My impression from the posting is that the picon displayed on the TV would be the same as that being displayed on the OLED.

Any suggestions anyone?

Thanks in advance.:thnks:
Regards.

Hi Rat.
Cheers for that – Call me thick but I using your guide and I can get as far as the enigima2 file but when I open that there are loads more files so I am unsure where to place the line.
extract the zip and put the skin_display96.xml file in /usr/share/enigma2 and overwrite the existing one

Once I get to the enigima2 file where to from there and which file exactly am I replacing?

Thanks Rat.
Regards.

This is as far as I get without guess work!?

I dont use DCC mate
I use Filezilla FTP programme but if you know DCC ftp options you should be fine with that :)

ftp to box
go to location /usr/share/enigma2
extract skin_display96.zip‎ to say desktop or a dreambox folder if you have one
then ftp skin_display96.zip‎ to the location you opened /usr/share/enigma2
you may be prompted to overwrite an exsiting file, just say yes

reboot the box
job done

hope Ive explained it simple enough mate
:)

Cheers Rat.

Still no joy - I've FTPéd till the cows come home and rebooted a few times and still no change. Never mind it was worth a crack. Thanks for the fast response.

Regards.

dunno if you already said ? but what image are you using ?
I think its only works on certain based images

I know it works on DBUK images

I think it could be
tbh I'm still pretty new to the Dreambox clone myself
but I think the image needs to be PLi based

I'm sure someone with better knowledge will give better info mate :)

You do actually have the picons on your box, usually stored on a usb stick or HDD,working in the infobar?

Hi Mate.
Yep - picons are store on the USB and working as prescribed on the info bar/TV. Just can’t seem to make the OLED display the same. Not sure what to do next?

Tried inserting a line as per the previous post and didn’t make any difference. As Rat said, it could be the image because it’s not PLi.

Cheers.
