Chaps,

Wonder if any one can help, made a few forums and that and of course they all come with PHP and PHPBB etc, and you can pretty much get in an automated control panel and install mods, plugins and that.

I'd like to create a very, very small forum on a home laptop and yesterday i downloaded apache friends - very easy apache, mysql, php and perl installation without hassles which is XAMPP

Just wondering if any one's done one from home with any advice tips and that.

All the times I've set them up I've normally got some space and installed all the mods and that my self, but all the PHP data base stuff and that's been set up for me on the back end!

I know there's other things inbvolveed like masking your ip address and that using hings like No-Ip so any ideas thoughts pease?

i set one up from home a long time a go as i was making a web site and it was easy to test it on my home pc then keep having to upload it to the web site then try it
