Just got my zgemma today, unable to get it to operate via wifi so used lan cable and everything up and running, I have a few questions.
1. Seems I will need to buy external hdd, thinking of buying a 500gb any suggestions. It came with a 32gb USB pen l did a back up of my settings onto this pen as people suggested, when l do buy another hdd should l repeat this back up on the new drive.
2 it came with 12months gift, when this expires how do you renew.
3 If l tried to put kodi on the zgemma do you put in as a plugin?
Sorry for some of these questions if they seem stupid only a Novice.
thanks

I would use the iptv player instead of kodi as its a lot better and yes it can be a plugin,You can get a good hdd of the bay for £25ish 250/500 GB,I would never get a gift off the bay as they never last and i would be surprised if your one lasts

Sure l noticed IPtv in the plugin section, think it must of been already loaded on system, any makes of HDD read somewhere better using one with a separate power feed to stop your box overheating.

Thanks

The usb provides limited amperage, a power hdd just makes the drive more reliable.

Ive ran a 2.5 300gb drive from zgemma direct with no issues (so far) You could go for an ssd drive

a usb port provides 500Ma at 5V

some external hardrives need more juice so come with its own power source.
using a hardrive designed to work at that voltage won't cause you box to overheat..
