just got myself one of these boxes ZGEMMA-STAR 2S twin tuner by air digital.
Done a bit of reading up and are well supported and take genuine OpenATV images so can be updated inbox plus modded Vix images and the normal rest.
There has been some good feedback from other users on other forums
They are selling on fleabay for £95 but I found a UK shop selling for £77 so just had to grab one..
Will let you know how I get on with it when I get it later in the week..
Would be nice if there are any members here who have one and give us your thoughts.

I replied to another thread but have just started buying these not the twin tuner but the H1 Sat/Cable and so far everything looks good even the operating speed for normal day to day functions certainly wins it over the 800/800se, Using official OpenATV have not found a fault yet but as with any new Product/Receiver it is still early days.

Obviously owners who also have say a Solo2/Duo2/Quad+ etc.. will notice the slight lag compared to the top end receivers but for the price it's a no brainer, will be interesting to hear your thought on the Twin tuner and recording to external drive etc...

I have to say my other air digital boxes I have used like new ibox 2+se is a cracking little box.i would recommend to all..it's real nippy as it goes and has up to date images with feeds etc...
Hoping this s2 is the same..only heard good stuff about it...
It's also been said that these boxes have already been cloned and users who revived boxes with Vix preinstalled were not able to record one and watch another ppv channel..
I have contacted my seller and asked them to confirm they were 100% air digital boxes which they kindly confirmed they were the genuine item.
 
Got my box today and really quite pleased with it for the price,nice little box smaller than my solose.
Came shipped with openATV but I had trouble getting wifi adapter to work even with installing additional drivers
So I flashed Vix image 152 from Zgemma download site and wifi worked straight off,set box up having full access to feeds no problem and installed plugins etc..even have the front display working as normal using Vix.
Box runs great it's a little faster running than the cloud Iboxes I have had,remote is great considering with no delay in operations and box does everything it should and is great for the money and well worth it.

Hi,

Thinking of getting one of these, you have had it for a little while now, so would you recommend it?

What about recording on it, is it up to standard.

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I recommend this box..it's not the fastest but does everything it should..I have no trouble recording.
 
do these run as well as my duo? Looking one for a mate and @ £75 can't go too wrong lol

I'm using identical boxes with the vix4e2project software. the image I backed up doesn't seem complete, there is no force file, image version or splash.bin. its not the USB stick as I used it with another image last night. I just want to use this box in the bedroom using the same GIFT, I'm told that both boxes have to have the same software, is that correct?

Install backupsuite on your working box plugin.usb and make a backup, don't forget to change your magic line
