ive tried a few things...like reflashing the box, checked cables are plugged in ok, tried 2 different modems but still getting this drop in the network.

anybody seen this before on a xtrend?

Are you using mgcamd? if so, have you checked configs are not set to use a dude IP address?

no mate im using oscam.
googled it all night but cant find anything relating to it.

ive never flashed the bootloader, i had thought about that but theres only 2 on the xtrend site, 1 dated august the other dated july 2014. not sure which mine has. is there a big difference between the 2?

There used to be a network issue. I may be mistaken, but if I remember correctly, the bootloader was meant to help.

aha i see. is there anyway to tell what bootloader is already on? i might give the august bootloader a try tomorrow and see.

Only way to is get set serial logs. Otherwise just flash it.

However, Xtrend have had a few kernel/driver changes lately. So not sure if they have inadvertently broken something.

Cheers guys.
last night i flashed 4.1 upto 5.0.014 (openvix) and back to 4.1 and that made no difference so ill try the bootloader after work and see.
ive never flashed it so it wont harm to update it anyway. i did come across another site confirming what Abu said about network issues on the older bootloader.
to be honest it hasnt really effected the operation of the receiver and i probably wouldnt of noticed it until i checked the message file in /log.

ill give your back up a try to @lescantle and see what its like.
