xtrend section?

as the title says...is there an xtrend receiver section on the site somewhere?

I have one got the ET8500 recently great receiver especially at £240 for twin dvb-s2 and twin dvb-c.

I got the et7500 and I think the process and layout on almost all the boxes seems to be the same for FTP file dropping but I wanted to know how I can change the bootlogo from the openvix logo to a VM logo. I cant seem to download anything either as of yet which doesnt help as I found a VM boot logo here which seems perfect lol

they are called bootlogo.mvi and backdrop.mvi

mine can be found in usr/share

I think you can use any picture so long as the files are the same size etc..etc


so FTP to the box and check , if looking all good just rename one of them bootlogo.mvi to bootlogo1.mvi

download the VM you like and rename it to bootlogo.mvi FTP to box and reboot . see if that works m8

cant help with the download though, forum rules.

but i found my boot logo through google.

if your thinking of using a standard jpeg image you will have to convert it to .mvi first.

This goes for most images. That way they won't be overwritten on updates. The ones in the other locations are system versions.

Whats the ET8500 like im considering one with quad cable tuners, it seems like a reasonable price for what you get however i read some posts from last year on another forum there was some problems with glitching hd channels when watch another hd channel.

Are they as easy to set up as any other box?

I have had one for 18 months and its the bees knees of a box,Did ask ages ago for a section to be added for xtrend,Its the only forum around now without one

I got mine a few weeks back set it up for both cable and sat took about 10 mins and I had never done an E2 machine before, so yes simple to set up

Are you lads going to fill it if i create a download and chat section ?

That would be very helpful

More than happy to help out, but to be honest most info is valid for all E2 machines.

Maybe a general E2 area rather than posting under different brands would be more useful?

Are you referring to plugins ?

Pluggins, how to scan. EPG issues, E2 machines are all the same on this the Brand does not matter really

Ok get ya will look in to this when a have a chunk of spare time.

Anyone with any decent backup images that could upload them would be doing the forum a great service.
