Well mine arrived from Amazon today. Spent the time backing up games from old xbox one before using it. Been playing it tonight and I've been hearing an annoying ticking(see attachment Its an aac file from my phone. Rar'd)

This was annoying me. Looked up the web and seems its hit or a miss if you get a loud or quiet one. Think it might be hard drive issue and not a fan.

Should I get amazon to replace it?

No disk is in the drive.

That's sound would drive me mad, send it back for a replacement see if you get a silent one, and what has the Xbox one s got that the original hasn't

I was looking for a 2nd console for the home, i was initially looking for a second hand original one but most of them are going for around £150. Just thought why pay £150 when i can pay £199- whatever i get for the fifa code. Thats the only reason I went for the xb1-s

I have asked amazon to replace it. Another one arrives tomorrow! Fingers crossed.


I think its the Internal hard drive thats the issue, not the fan.

IV never heard a HDD sound like that I think it will be the fan, as long as young get a new one happy days I guess

I received a new one today! Still makes a noise just not as annoying as the one before. Will have to put up with it!

Question, i've already sold the original fifa17 code, do you think i should keep the one in the replacement mc's box?

i wouldnt buy a console with that noise, its not going to improve with age either..

i'd ask for a refund till they sort out the issue, alot of people wont put up with that

Take into account I've basically got the console for £130 I'm not gonna grumble. (got 35 quid for my first fifa 17 code, sure i can get another 35)
