Advice on additional storage please

My lad's hard drive on his Xbox One is creaking at the seams but he 'needs' all the content/games he has on it. Does he need an Xbox specific drive to extend it, like this

I'd ask in general chat or vip @HappyH the games section doesn't seem to get looked at as much since the chipping etc stopped.

Just done a quick google looks like as long as it's usb3 and above 256 gig Your good to go have a read at THIS

yip get the one from amazon and you can use the external drive and move your apps and games across , them you will not loose anything

plus looks like you can put a bigger drive into the console as well

I just added a Seagate 2TB portable, and you can easily format it in two ways using your Xbox. Don't format it for media, pick the other Xbox only option. Then you can go into game management and transfer all your data over from your internal drive. Super easy!

Just to finish on those my lad bought a 'Samsung 2TB D3 Station HX-D201TDB USB 3.0 Desktop 3.5'' Hard Drive External Blk‏' from Dabs on eBay & it's working fine.
