XBOX One - Black Screen

Hi, my XBOX One was working fine yesterday, however today whenever I turn it on, I get the XBOX One welcome screen, but then just get a black screen and nothing else happens! Any ideas?

Hi, I found and tried changing the HDMI cable, and resetting the XBOX One by pressing and holding the Power On button, but they did not help. Any other ideas?

Yes call them and complain, then they will then have a record of the fault

Thanks bobby123 and casuk, I had a on-line chat with Microsoft, but they couldn't resolve the black screen. Luckily, the XBOX One was still under Warranty, so they asked for me to sent it in for a free repair.

At least you will get a replacement or it repaired, a bit crap you had the problem in the first place

Thanks casuk, my XBOX One was in really good condition, so I went for the repaired option rather than the replacement option.

Thanks 3dfriend, but as the XBOX One was still under Warranty, Microsoft asked me to sent it in for a free repair.

They are quite quick at getting it back to you, im just wondering if this is the x1s red ring of death
