DuoX 2 Lite install xbox 1.6 hard?

Hi

Over a year ago now i installed/modded a version 1.5 xbox with a DuoX 2 Lite chip. All went well. I then sold the xbox.

Recently i have purchased another xbox and i am wanting to do the same as before, but this time my xbox is version 1.6. Looking at the install diagram, the v1.6 seems more complicated to install on than the v1.5. Is that right? Whats the rebuild PCB actually for? Do i place the pin header and the rebuild PCB board and solder on at the same time? Also, how do the other points on the rebuild PCB fix to the xbox motherboard? Pins? Seems right pain this v1.6?

Any help would be much app.

Why dont you use a softmod instead? Much better no chips needed.

more interesting to mod properly and i have all the stuff now and the xbox is in peices.

it's easy m8 u don't need the pcb you can do it from the cables as well look at the duox2 website and the diagram is there i done one a few weeks ago works perfect

it not hard just clean up the via 'and solder pads your soldering to with the end of craft knife, i dont like using the pcb I use kynar wire so do the 1.6
as geeuk said diagrams on the duo website

all done and working good. cheers for the help/comments.

One point i was soldering would not stick very well, so i taped the wire down first then soldered, seems to have held in place now.

The boot up screen seems different on this duo 2 lite chip than the other one i had last year. I get the EVO logo on this one and the xbox logo is blue. I dont think the last duo 2 lite chip i had was like that. Does that mean its been flashed differently? Best to leave it like it?

Just installed Slayers 2.7, very good.
