Xbla Games on External Hard Drive

I've currently got all the xbla games on the internal hard drive , can I also put them on the same external hard drive as I have all the god formatted 360 games,
would all the xbla games still work ? and how would I install them on the external hard drive, it would make it much simpler for me to transfer games on my grandsons xbox 360

Yes you can put them on the external and just place them in the Content>0000000000000000 folder like a normal game.

Thanks Dave , so just make a content folder next to games folder ? , cant try it the now as he's away

Yes that should work , don`t forget to add the 0000000000000000 folder inside the content folder and add the path in FSD3 or Aurora.
