I have been using Jungle Flasher on my netbook to flash a couple of drives and all has always gone well until today.

When trying to flash the drive (liteon) it came up with an error saying something like write not successful - I tried again and got the same message. I do have a backup of the key though!

I restarted jungle flasher and checked the drive - now bricked. I have fixed these before but this time after clicking erase flash and powering the drive off and on nothing happened - several times.

I decided to restart the netbook and try again but now every time I start Jungle Flasher I get the error "No I/O ports were found during Enumeration" I have tried restarting several times both with the usbpro v2 attached and disconnected and I get the same error. I have tried the latest version of JF and I get the same message! I have also installed JF on my laptop and I get the same message there too!! Obviously there is an issue with the software now but what could it be and why has it just started to happen and affect a laptop that JF has never even been on?

This is my lads 360 and he is now driving me mad to play on it!

Thanks in advance for any help

He would need to be able to read and write the drive in order to get his key though

Hi you wunt be able to use a samsung drive or hitachis drives, they dont have the ap2.5 security checks liteon drives do, so wouldnt be able to play xgd3 games and stuff like that, some hitachi 78 and 79 drives are ok, if replacing the drive go with another liteon drive mate,

Cheers for the replies but at this stage it's not the drive that's the issue it's jungle flasher. Before it starts I get the error no I/O ports found during enumeration - with or without the x360 USB pro v2 (and ck3 probe) attached

Got a desktop but no via card! Will have to look into getting one. Can't understand why the software no longer runs properly though!

Is it updated? Maybe an older version will work for u

Why would he need a probe? He's already got the key. JF shouldn't require I/O port lib if you're using USB Pro. Since we don't know what version you're currently using we'll assume you're using either the latest version or the one before, so try an older version such as JungleFlasher v0.1.92 Beta (304) or older. Also might be worth re-downloading Jungleflasher and deleting the old one of your PC/laptop. Make sure the USB only box is ticked as well.

For the record, Liteon drives can never be bricked. If you get JF working again and you don't see the drive just Liteon erase the drive & power cycle. This eventually will get you into vendor mode.

Best of luck mate . . .

Cheers for the advice. I grabbed v0.1.92 and it worked! Put the drive into vendor mode and then flashed successfully! I again have a happy boy!

Thanks
