let us know how you get on with it mate.

Actually, might dial into home and have a go........

Wow that Eric guy likes to talk in that youtube video! ;)

all up and running, so remind me on again, how do you start a game with your mate on the jtag?

I've created a room for now "Dibbers" so fire it up and see if you can see me.

All I had to do, was port forward to IP of machine (Revo) 192.168.1.20 and allow through windows firewall, don't have a firewall on my router that's in action so bypassed that.

Of course I've set this all up from remote so can't switch me jtag on until I get home.......been a while since I meddled with this.

Yeah I have Dashlaunch (The new one on the jtag anyway...that's where you do all your settings ain't it?)

Just installed it myself, and guess what there's an app for that :)
Works on my Xperia Play and N7

linky

Cool.....

How do you run a game though and connect, was easy with xai.....that showed you as connected when you run the jtag/turned on the machine.

found this guys

For this tutorial you will need the following:

XBSlink
Port forwarding knowledge for your router
DashLaunch
LAN compatiable game

Installation and set-up of XBSlink:

Run the executable you downloaded earlier.
Click next, I agree, next, install.

Now WinPcap will popup for install (this is required).

Click next, next, I agree, install, finish, finish.
Start XBSlink and set your nickname on the initial tab.
Click save settings.
Now click the network tab and remember your internal IP.

Port forwarding:

Because every router configuration is different there's no global tutorial for opening ports.
This will only cover the basics.

Go to your routers web page (192.168.0.1 is common but refer to your routers manual to be sure).
Find the port forwarding tab/button/link and click it.
Click add new port forward/new rule.
Set the port as 31415 for both TCP/UPD and the IP as the IP you rememebered from earlier (if you can't remember open up XBSlink again or switch to it if it's still open).
Click add.

DashLaunch set-up:

Download and extract the DashLaunch installer directory to your consoles hard drive.
Run the DashLaunch default.xex inside the installer directory.
Scroll down to the network tree and expand.
Enable pingpatch.
Press RB until you get to the save tab.
Save to your device.

Using XBSlink:

Open up XBSlink (or switch to the one already open if you've been following this tutorial) and click start engine at the top left.
Click the load button next to the cloud list textbox.

Click a network for the game you wish to play to join those already playing.
Set a "cloud name", the "max" number of players and a "password" at the bottom of the application then click create to start your own private network.

Connecting through a game.

Start a compatiable game on your Xbox (one that has system link).
Navigate the multi player menus until you find system link for your game.

Click join game to join those already playing.
Click create/host game and tweak the settings to host your own.

Enjoy.

Wicked, that's the fella......will try over the weekend.

Hiya, it nice easy program to use, all you do to connect to your mates is start a cloud on the xslink program, password protect if you want to keep the game private, tell you friends to start xslink program and look for the name of the cloud you have set up and the password if needed, once they have joined your cloud basically you are now connected, start a game that has system link, one player be the host and the other player has to look for a game and it will find your game just like normal system link, head sets work in all the games i have played, if you want to play another game you dont have to do anything with xslink as you are still connected in a way, so just start a different game and host and others find again and away you go again,

ah nice one! so headsets work and you can chat?

What's it like? suppose it all depends on who is the host, but with better and better internet connections these days probably nothing to worry about.

Hiya, myeah once you have connected to each other in the game the headsets start working and carry on working until you stop the game, so far ive had no lag at all, im usually the host and have bt infinity 2, but ive connected to one of my mates when he was hosting and his internet is standard broadband, around 8meg download and just over 1 meg upload and that was great also, ive tested it with gears of war and call of duty death match type games and its still been great, i usually use it for coop campaign games mainly , great alternative for rgh coosoles,

Yeah after ur room is set up you just create/join a system link game like normal

@dibbers I think the mic works for GOW3 , most people seem to be using skype .. for Mw3 anyway

I might be on later not too fussy what I play :)
