F*&^ED my Liteon 360 Drive using Probe - Options

Ive had my PHAT liteon Jasper for about 2 years or more now and Ive just went to update it to stock so i could update the dashboard and install latest LT and the CK3 Probe has went and burned the board on the Liteon drive. Its melted plastic so i assume its beyond repair as I cant get it into Vendor mode. I do have another Liteon drive but i bricked that ages ago and have never been able to get it to let me install firmware on it.

My CK3 probe now wont eject the drives on either and it too has burned the track where the power comes in.

Im wonder what my options are now? I do have a back on my drive key but im wondering if its time to try and hack it. How will i know if this is possible?

Can I put games on a usb drive withuot the need of a DVD drive for games?

could replace the pcb look here. that would get you drive working. i had to do that the other day and it was easy. or if you dont want to use the dvd drive anymore. look up the reset glitch hack.

I think my CK3 Probe might be broke will I need another one of those? Also after updating to the latest dashboard is it simple to change the firmware on the drive to CFW?

if you already have the dvd key you dont need to probe it again. you will however need to flash the drive agan. im ussuming you have some sort of sata connection that you used befor? if so just use that again .

So the probe is only needed to obtain the DVDkey? Ive got it connected with VIA SATA card and then CK3 is powering the drive. But i think it might be broken as the power tracks are burnt.

probe is for the dvd key. you could use the xbox to power the drive. people say you risk beign banned this way. i havent but i dont use live often only for game updates

Does anyone on the forums Glitch Hack? I have a 512mb Jasper with Dashboard from about 9 months ago. Does it allow you to boot games from a Hard Drive and also get DLC. I JTAG my old xbox but it RRoD after about 6 months so was wondering how similar the Glitch Hack is to that? I used to just FTP games onto the box and remove the updates and also put all DLC for Lips in a folder on the xbox and they too would show up on the game.

The RGH is the same as a jtag telewest , whatever you can do on the jtag can be done on the RGH.
