Hi all

I flashed my xbox about 10 months ago (liteon drive) I think the firmware I have on it is LT1.1+. Now I would like to update the firmware to the latest Lt2.0 I believe. I am not sure of the process I have to follow. is it as follows

1 Flash to stock firmware
2 Update to latest Dashboard
3 Update to LT 2.0

1 How do I do this
2 That bit is easy
3 Should have no probs as I have done it before is the process still the same as with the old Jungle flasher and LT1.1+

Here are my drive details
model DG-16D2S
HW VER A0A1
FW 74850C
OCTOBER 2008

Thanks

Coley

The tutorial does not tell me how to flash my drive back to stock firmware though so I can update it to the latest dashboard. What files do I need to flash it with to get it back to stock.

run JF

let it read and confirm your your drive key.

save key.bin

DONT let it auto load new f/w, but manually load firmware yourself, browse to stock f/w in JF load key.bin and this will insert key into stock f/w

write as normal amd drive will be stock.

which firmware do I load LiteOn_Pre_13141 or LiteOn_Post_13141
thanks

theres four 74850C in LiteOn_Pre_13141 I would just go through them (you've got your key right??)

If you have not updated already use the pre folder flash to stock update then use the post folder to flash to new CFW

Well that was a night and a half, this was only my second flash and it was about 8 months when I did it the first time.

I had a folder on my pc called xbox orgin firmware so I loaded the dummy file from that in JF and my key showed up, I then loaded the target firmware as the stock pre. went to mtk flash 32 pressed the erase liteon started the process and stopped with error.

Oh fook drive dead pc blue screen. Rebooted pc would not boot with drive attached, what I had to do was briefly turn the power off to the liteon on boot so it would go pass the bios.
Ok got JF running nothing showing up tried all the different ports in the list of sata ports by pressing "Erase liteon" and quickley turning the drive on and off nothing.

Then I tried turning the drive off pausing for about 2 seconds bingo the drive went into vendor mode. Tried to right to it but drive not recognized. Rebooted pc did the whole process all again and it worked.

updated the fw through dash
put the latest lt on it
all done
at least I still had my keys

Thanks for the help and guidance

Coley
