Hi ... Been thinking of doing this for age's ..... anyone else tryed changing the colours of the on button baically from green to another colour???

JUst wanna see how hard it is to do?? Senn a video on youtube but never really shows how hard it is .... let me know your experiences??.. Thanks all:banana:

as long as you have a good soldering iron that the tip gets hot then it should be OK, and of course you need good eyes as well like that can help.

I hate my soldering iron at the moment as the tip doesn't get hot so i end up lifting the tracks and that on things that I'm working on, so I'd really like one of them "hot air" soldering irons, so no more lifting tracks and that you can simply melt the solder and lift the item without having to touch the solder...

Always remember to use some good flux and of course the replacement LED's will have to go in the right way round.

I just picked up a pre modded one from fleabay (£7.00) and i think if memory servers me right i sold my old RF board for about a tenner so laughing!

i just bought a spare rf board off fleebay (£4 delivered bargain) and modded that with just blue leds. i didnt bother soldering the secondary red leds for error codes etc.
if anything happens ie 3 rrod i can use my unmodded rf board to get the secondary error codes that way.
i used 0603 smd leds and stood them on edge to direct the light into the center. putting second colour for error codes seemed too fildly for what its worth, as you have to run little wires to the common positive which is a pain.
also an easy way to lift the old leds is to float them in a ball of solder, they come off easily that way and you dont have to worry about lifting tracks or scoring them :)
