Newbie with kodi

Just starting out with firestick tv. Got kodi running with the black box build for now.
Would like to try building my own from scratch. Is it possible with firestick or will I need more CPU power like laptop or maybe droidbox t8-s.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for info.

The black box build uses Ccm skin and is fully customisable. You can change all the artwork and the submenus to your own liking. If you wanted you could use the black box build as your base. You could delete the add-ons you don't want and install New add-ons you do want and Customise the skin to your own liking. Just look on YouTube for ccm skin. There are tutorials on how to customise it .

CCM skin is all I use on all the boxes I do for folk
Its the best if you ask me or not lol
You can have 12 tab menus IE Live tv/Films/Box sets/Sports/Programs/System etc and name them anything you like.
and 7 sub menus underneath instead of only 5

In advance I hope I don't upset anyone with this statement. Its the best skin I have used in my opinion.

You can add any artwork you like

What ccm skin you using. I am using mudislander's ccm helix skin, on mine I have 10 sub menus.

Yes the same one, I meant 7 add-on shortcuts

Tip: I add Add-ons to favorites IE like Phoenix/ Woody or Valhalla to favorites or even Live games in Valhalla to favorites that way you can add them to your Add-on shotcuts
makes it easy to navigate...one click and ya there.

As you only can add the main add-on not others within that add-on.

Yeh that's how I have mine configured .....

In phoenix- Her places- has video tuts how to do it all.

I have also decided to build my own after checking the Wookie build which was taking almost 1.5gb of storage on my Mac. I appreciate space is not an issue on a computer but I don’t want all the bloatware installed on my computer and add-ons that I don’t use.

I thought of installing the black box build as a base but I think their server is down at the moment so I’ve been forced do build from scratch – I don’t see option to download Ccm skin? Where/how can I get this, please?
