I'm putting these instructions here because they are the clearest ones I've seen.

Plus it will be easier and quicker to direct people here or copy and paste to where ever they may ask.

Follow the instructions from the top one first, when you finish continue following the one on the bottom.

Maybe don’t post here on the first page, leave this first page for instructions only, then on the second page post to your hearts content

So it doesn’t get cluttered like the other threads

There are a few more bits I’d like to post here on the first page

But It’s up to you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These I think are again simple clear instructions to follow

Install Kodi on your PC / Laptop / Tablet /

click on system / Add-ons/ ok / install from zip file / point it to where you saved the plugin video aswizard-4.0.0.zip / click on it and it will say add-on enabled /

Go to home page / video add-ons / wookie / login / FREE done / 1234 done / click on Kodi devises / click continue /

when downloaded click ok / Control alt del / task manager / click on Kodi / end task to turn Kodi off / or turn your system off any way you can / turn system back on / go to Kodi /

I think the next post should be a list of links, but there is a debate going on about that.

After the links, we can all contribute with some “hints and tips” on how to install successfully.

And then help those less successful.

If you get this message: “an error has occurred please check your details in add on settings”

And your ISP is BT; you must disable the "Smart Setup" in the router settings

Switching Smart Setup on and off on the BT Home Hub 4 or Hub 5

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

How to backup your entire XBMC/KODI install and restore it back with file browser on Android

From the home page go to My Apps / file browser / local disc / android folder / data folder /

From inside the data folder you need to copy both these two directories complete

“org.xbmc.kodi” and “org.xbmc.xbmc”

Save them on a USB

These two directories contain everything you have on your box including all the Files, repos, add-ons, and settings.

If ever anything goes wrong just put the USB content back into and overwrite the same files.

For anyone running Kodi on a Fire TV Stick, If you get "Storage Space Full" error

Install Mucky Ducks Wizard from Settings /Addons /Get Addons/ Mucky Ducks Repo/ Program Addons /Mucky Ducks Wizard.

When done go to Programs / Mucky Ducks Wizard / Maintenance and Delete Cache and Packages

I haven't tried it, haven't got one

The wookie user name FREE password 1234 in capitals, if a mistake is made, scroll to system / video addons / highlight the wizard addon and press the menu button on the remote

Then click on addon settings. Click default which will remove the U/P so you can re-enter them.

If you get the jigsaw puzzles icons instead of pics on the addons after the first time you download the wookie,

normally a second run of the wookie without clearing your data will resolve it.

I tried it and it did work for me.

For the wookie to install successfully, it is very important to pay special attention to the final part of the install.

When the wookie has finished downloading and you read “please reboot”

On an android device you must pull the cord out from the back of your unit after you click ok.

On a pc, you must either use the control alt delete method or hold down the power button until the system reboots.

OK, I think we have all we need for a successful install of the wookie and its all on the first page.

If you have any hints and tips it would be nice to have them now.

Copying Kodi/XBMC setup from one PC to another PC

This method does work I’ve just tied it

PC to PC

On the PC go to C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming

Save the folder called “Kodi” to a USB or just somewhere you will be able to load it on the new PC.
Install Kodi on the new PC

Go to C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming on your new PC and paste the folder you saved earlier overwriting any data

Load Kodi and it will be the same as on the other PC.

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.
