Just looking at the Virgin Media traffic shaping policy and the jist of it, is that P2P is seriously hindered at the key times one is likely to want to watch any P2P-Streams.

Now I'm not in the UK (yet) and I'm new to Kodi and there may very well be some really good alternatives that from the UK work well. For me, the P2P-Streams work better than vdubt25 (for example).

However adopting the same process in the UK and I doubt P2P-Streams will work very well at all.

From a UK kodi user base, is there one main protocol for streaming TV or is it a case of trial and error? (Easier to pay for a sub aint it!)

If You want reliability then using a pay service is always going to be best, Personally for free I like kodi. It may take a bit of messing around to find what You want, but usually I can find what I want to watch, if You are on the 50 meg or above on vm You shouldn't get any problem with the streams.
As for addons I would run tvaddons.ag wizard, that will put on a decent selection. Then I would add showbox, iptv stalker, sports devil, p2pstreams, phoenix and vdubt.

I'd like to recommend having a look at total installer, have a quick Google on installing that. Then you can download and auto install custom made xbmc/kodi builds. There's some good TV builds etc, I like gandelfs kids TV build, loads of stuff for the kids
