So if I set a kodi image up on an android box with a few bits on and gave it to my parents and they screwed it up how would I make it so if they did a reset of the box it would go back to how I initially set it up? Never messed with Android so not sure where to start.

There is an option in the android settings to backup and reset, I've never used it, but I assume this can be used for what You want.

The alternative (some may say is the cheat’s way) is to pay a little extra for an android box that has its own image (with a unique password) that is updated every couple of weeks with a few clicks.

Ideal for parents who can’t or don’t want to get their hands dirty.

If you can put a cwm recovery image on it,you can do a complete backup of the box,if it goes pear shape then boot into recovery and restore your backed up image
