Android MX2 box and samsung tab3 question.

Hi guys, is there a way I can control my android tv box via my tablet or even my phone, a keyboard would be so much easier than using the remote control with menu's and updating url's etc.

I remember downloading a app on my old phone but never got it set up, can't think what it was called now tbh.

Otherwise I'm looking at a usb/wireless mini keyboard?

I use one of THESE @StuDaBear they work much better than the remotes. I found THIS about using a phone app with the mx.

It's handy for entering searches and URL's but apart from that i find the normal one easier.

The one in the link i posted works a bit like a WII regarding the wireless mouse.

Yes I agree, its the search and url's that are painful, the standard remote is great in all other respects.

XBMC Remote app or yatse remote app also work well on phone or tablet

i managed to get summat same as sneaker only cost me 4 quid on fleabay,
ive found its a lot easier using this then using the android remote,you hold it like you
are holding a small games consul

this is the cheepest one with a buy it now price,i wouldnt pay any more then 9 quid

i think i was lucky at the time as it was in auction and no bidders
i won it for 99p and it was 2.99 p+p

hi, if its a smart tv then you may try software called as PLEX

If you just want to change urls etc install team viewer on it to do it remotely via computer works a treat

Just got mine today, seems very good so far, any idea what the HOME key is?

Just need to fix the various repository's etc now.

just press esc or use touch pad and move cursor to the home button
and tap the pad

@StuDaBear not all the keys will work Your android box, remember these are a universal air mouse, so it will work with your pc,ps3,ps4,macsmart tv and many other things with usb.
I'm using now on the pc, on my pc it takes me to mycomputer showing c: drive etc, but may not work with everythig, I'll post back what it does with the android later.

Yes I'm finding the need for 2 remote controls, the keyboard is deffo easier to use, I've struggled with capital letters using it and a couple of other bits, I will hopefully get some more free time with it later in the week.

Next challenge is to get the addons working again for xbmc, not having much look so far, I wanna watch breakingbad.

@StuDaBear If you bought the air remote I posted, the caps button on the left should work, at least it does with my cs968 box, I've checked the home button,which does nothing on my box, but saying that I've not set a home page in the android browser, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Out of interest, is Your mx box an Andriod loading box If so You should D/L showbox.apk that has breaking bad.

Mines is on android, I had showbox but I think the isp have stopped it working as when I search nothing comes up.

That has happened to me @StuDaBear I just uninstalled it and d/l the lattest version off playstore, and reinstalled the apk. Or I can send you the version I'm using.
