Why,Who's asking?
Last night the mrs couldent getthe mx box to boot up pass the android logo,so i held in the reset button and it worked, but all xbmc add ons went ,this morning its the same tried reset no go

tried

Here is the description for the process on how to recover box, which is stuck on boot logo:

Solution Nr1:

Step 1: Recovery bootloader repair.

Download this file and extract to an empty SD card:
droidtv-boot-recovery.zip (5.9 MB)
https://mega.co.nz/#!lpJDGDBJ!b8UP-ygGFn...hFvXKlcE5Y

(Your SD card should have two files: u-boot.bin and recovery.img)

Insert the SD card into your BOX and boot the BOX holding the reset button located in the A/V port on the back of the device.
You must hold this button with a toothpick while applying power to the device for about 10 seconds and then release the button. You will see the “DroidTV” logo appear on the screen. After about 10-12 seconds you will be presented with the Android recovery menu.
Your boot loader is now repaired. Please unplug your unit (Your remote control will not be functional until after the next step).

Step 2: Install latest firmware.
You will need to install the latest firmware on your DroidTV to prevent your device from having the boot lock problem in the future.
The latest firmware can be found here:
DroidTV MX 2013-07-25 firmware with XBMC

still stuck :( any ideas ??

Do you get to the recovery screen when holding the toothpick in?

I've watched this video and it seems straight forward, have you have done this already?

There seems to be another boot recovery file attached to the video might be worth trying that one.

d/loaded to sd card inserted it held the reset button in put in power cable it boots to an andriod laying side ways with options.

1 reboot system now

2 fully update from ADB

3 fully update from EXT

4 fully update from Cache

5 data factory reset

6 cache partion
when i ask it to update from ext it then gives me the option to update from sdcard when i do it asks me for the file.
and theres no file to load even though it has loaded it onto the sdcard,.

Is your box the droidtv? the one in the link above, if so the apk on that page isn't the latest firmware it's on this page. I would read the whole thing though it seems like they had a few issues with it.

If the above is no good THIS might be worth a read, seems to be several ways to setup an mx box.
