Hi,

I have a ddwrt router that I want to use for my Vu reciever but can I run this router alongside my smart hub and still be able to get the ddwrt router to unblock certain content.

As long as your going through VM it will blocked as that is you ISP.
However someone correct me if I am wrong but you can setup openvpn on ddwrt and if you do this then it shouldn't be blocked.

I forgot to mention that I will be using openvpn on the ddwrt router with my vpn provider. So as long as I use openvpn I can run the router through my smart hub?

Just realised you mentioned BT and not VM.
Does your BT router have the option of switching it to Modem mode similar to the VM routers?
If so, swap the BT to modem mode and then use you ddwrt router as your router sitting behind the BT modem, is that is possible.

all the later BT Homehubs from V4 upwards are now both Fibre/ADSL/Router combined so you cant use another router, you could always get hold of a stand alone fibre modem with any router you wish that is if you are on fibre

Did you ever get this working ? I'm in the same boat and have been told that you can do it and you will have in essence two networks one the bt network and the other the dd-wrt network where everything will be tunnelwd through the vpn
