Hi

I'm looking at changing my router at the moment I'm running a 200mb line with a superhub as we all know the router side of the super hubs are very hit and miss, at the moment mine is in modem mode with a n300 router attached which is great until both my boys start gaming is there a good gaming router that can cope with 2x Xbox and 3 computers plus 2x solo2, plus 7 mobiles and tablets :(, as soon as they start gaming TV can be a bit glitch

I would like to spend no more that £100 but I want top notch for speed :)

cheers

I have VM 200 and had a TPLink WDR3600 running DDWRT as main router (SH was in modem only mode) noticed with speed test I was only getting 175MB - after some reading turns out the bottleneck was the TP Link and as the NAT'ing was software based, this was the reason.

I had a Core2Duo desktop which I installed pfSense with 2 x 1Gb Nics and now getting 220Mb broadband when doing a speed test.

so my advise is stick pfsense between WAN and LAN turn the wifi routers into access points.

Btw I have following

4 x Laptops
3 x desktops
1 x Vuo Solo2 (one you sold me :) )
1 x Edison OS Mini
5 x Android phones
1 x Sky box

I have the following router still sealed NETGEAR R7000-100UKS Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit 11AC Gaming Router (1.0 GHz Dual-Core Processor, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet) Open Source Available (Amazon Echo Enabled) NETGEAR R7000-100UKS Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit 11AC Gaming Router (1.0 GHz Dual-Core Processor, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet) Open Source Available (Amazon Echo Enabled): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

I did get to replace my current router but my N66U is still rock solid.

Let me know if your interested.
