looking for the best way to improve my internet signal in another room , what can I buy to do this , I'm looking for the best so don't mind spending money to do it .

thanx

You could buy a better router or you can add a access point but they can be expensive.

Try ya local Tesco they are doing TP-Link TL-PA4010KIT AV500 Powerline Kit for £9
not all Tesco`s but ya might be lucky

decided to get a Ethernet long cable to the tv , works very well .

You tried boosters , scan are pretty cheap

If your looking for the best solution get yourself a unifi access point. These are best way to get seemless roaming wifi espcially in large homes.

First look at where you are placing the first AP/Router. If it has a weak signal due to walls and other obstuctions you will need more repeaters. Make sure the antennas are pointed away from each other and also move it higher up as the signal falls like the top of an umbrella.

if its on for streaming media (720, 1080 if ur lucky and not 4k) a good quality booster will do the trick

I centalize your AP up high ,, try Comfast on ebay, they are fairly powerful , and different products , i put them in my customers business 6 months ago no complaints.

I second the unifi AP points, have used them with no issues with multiples strapped together under the same SSID

If you genuinely want the best then you want one or more of these, they used to do a triple pack UBIQUITI NETWORKS UBI-UAP-AC-PRO 24/5Ghz 450/1300Mbps 122m - (Enterprise Computing > Routers): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories for the older 2.4ghz might be on available for the new version.

So this will work like what I see at corporate offices where you have seamless handoff between APs for wifi roaming where they are all connected through an Ethernet star network?

Is there a compromise in security or speed? Can these operate under WPA/WPA2 and still have wifi roaming?

Did you have them all on WPA2 with seamless handoff between the APs? Was your speed ever compromised?
